English Meaning - Darling, dearly loved, from the Old english deorling.

Origin - English

Mummy chose the name Daryl for me as she say I am her little darling and I am dearly loved by her..... Also, she hope I will be loved by all too.

The meaning of Sheryl

(French) Darling; (Germanic) man, free man; (Old English) meadow shire; bright meadow

Sheryl is of Germanic, English, and Old English origin and it is used mainly in English.

Sheryl is a variant form of Charlotte (French, German, Dutch, English and Scandinavian) and also an English spelling variant of Cheryl (English and German).

The reason why mummy chose the name Sheryl for me is that she wanted a name with similar meaning as kor kor. Likewise, the reason she chose kor kor's name too!

Creation of the Blog

Mummy finally decide to create a Blog for me. She say this is a little something for me to read when I grow up. Things that she want me to know and she like to remember, she will jot it down here.

As this is created after I turned One Year Old, so she will try to 'dig' from her memory for those things that happened from the day I was born till now.

But one thing I know for sure is that Mummy is IN LOVE with me!

:-)
Daryl

Mummy added me in this blog as well after I 'arrived' on 17th November 2010. This will be the 'diary' where she will updated the growth of kor kor and me.

We both know that in mummy's heart, we are her bao bei and this is a forever love from her unconditionally.

:-)

Christmas Eve 2009

At the Bowling Alley, where Daryl enjoying looking at people bowling away.

Outside the lousy warehouse sale in Down Town East.

Daryl cannot take his eyes off the live size Santa Claus "toy" that climbing up and down the pole!

At Down Town East!

Kiddy ride at Parkway Parade.

The initial plan is to go Orchard Road to see the lighting. However, as we worried that the place will be super crowd + Daryl seem to have slight cough, we changed our plan. We went to Parkway Parade to get some last minute present and to eat the delicious durian ice cream. Then we head down to Down Town East, coz we recall that it always have something for the kids during Christmas. Glad that we went there, even though it is for a short while coz it is always nice to see Daryl enjoy himself.

My sweet little Daryl

We were watching the variety show - Life Transformers 2 on channel 8 while Daryl was happily playing with his blocks after we fetched him back from his nanny house.

Then I started to tear when the mother of 2 intellectual disability boys talked about how she got rejected by the government bodies on her application for social welfare and how her eldest boy went missing and was covered in injuries when she finally found him. As I am a rather emotional person, when I start to tear, I cannot really stop. Then guess what my little angel of terror did when he saw me crying...... he gave me those blocks he was holding and then he laid his head down on my lap for a while. Then when he got up and see me still tearing, he used his little hand and touch my tears. It was like he was trying to comfort me and wipe away my tears like I alway wipe away his.

This is one of the sweetest thing he did ......showing his love for his silly mummy..........

Sesame Street Christmas Show at Centre Point

This is the first time Daryl see the character from Sesame Street. But he was attracted to Elmo especially when they sing the Elmo song. In fact, when we are heading home, he echo "lalala" after me when I sing the Elmo song.

Christmas present for our little Daryl

This is Shawn Christmas present for Daryl. We went shopping in UE Square Toys R Us for Christmas for coming Christmas parties on 5th Dec and Shawn saw this selling at only $29.95 which he thought is a good buy as a present for Daryl. Then I finally convinced him to get a set on 6th Dec at Vivocity Toys Ru S.

I got this Sasha bear from my company Charity program - Adopt a Bear, coz I can do some charity and at the same time I can get Daryl a christmas present. Also, Daryl love hugging soft toys mah.

Vivo City - Mickey Mouse Show

At the children's playground!

See how happy Daryl is when he saw his favourite MOUSES on stage!

Waiting for the Mickey Mouse show to start.

The Christmas tree on Vivo roof top open space.
We brought Daryl to Vivo to watch the Mickey Mouse show after attending Ms Tham's wedding in the afternoon (that explain why I have my make up on). The very first time I went for wedding luncheon with Daryl alone! Well he still considered rather well behaved and he 'captured' a handful of my colleagues' heart with his sweet smile and generous kisses!

Fun at AMK HUB Christmas Funland

Daryl enjoy bouncing and playing in this air inflated bouncy castle that he actually refused to come out. But we decided it is enough for him after those older kids start to trip over him or fall over him.

Queuing for another game.
Posing in front of the nicely done up stage.

Sitting for fun...

A little bowling expert?!

How Daryl bowl? He walk up to the pins and drop the ball on to the pins!
At the games area for kids.

It was drizzling thus we did not went out to take more pictures.

We drove to UE Square at around 3 plus in the afternoon so that we can get the Christmas presents for the Christmas gathering/party on both 12th and 19th Dec and also rush for Barney show at 5pm. After we made our purchases, we head down to find a good spot to watch the Barney show.
However, all good spot are taken up, yes there are alot of people crowding around the stage area and even those area upstairs with good view of the stage are all crowded with people.
In the end, we just stand somewhere facing the stage and we sat Daryl on Shawn's shoulder so that he will be tall enough to be able to see Barney. However, not sure if it is too crowded and Daryl are not really able to get a good view, he was busying playing with Shawn's hair then watching. So in the end, we decided not to watch. Oh ya, we also run into Doris, her husband and little Rayden too and can really see that little Rayden enjoy the Barney show alot.
I wanted to exchange for the ticket to take picture with Barney, when Doris told me that she have exchanged and her queue number is 35. However, upon hearing Doris queue number, Shawn suggest not to take as that might mean we have to wait till 8 plus 9 pm for our turn as the photo taking will only take place after the 7 pm show.
As such, we drove off and went for dinner at AMK hub instead as we also need to get some stuff from NTUC too. We also went to take some pictures with AMK Hub Christmas decoration too. Then when we are walking around the mall, we spotted that there is an enclosed area for kids to play some games but per kid entrance is min. $30 spending. We went in using our receipt from our dinner and well, Daryl did have a good time there.
