Daryl's nanny told us weeks back that she have stop wearing diaper or the cloth diaper on Daryl during the day time at her house. But she will on and off let Daryl sat on the potty to pee or poo or when Daryl indicate that he want to pee. By the way, she also mentioned that Daryl refused to stand and pee lor.
We also realised that Daryl will point to his diaper when at home with us, and when I asked if he want to pee, he will nodded his head.
So this morning, I decided to let him go diaperless to try him out despite objection from Shawn who worried that Daryl will pee or poo on the sofa. Again I was right to insist, coz Daryl will really tell us he want to pee by point to his birdie.
However, as his nanny was using the traditional potty which is higher than the potty I bought, Daryl, does not like to seat on the potty at our house. So no choice, I put the potty cover on our toilet bowl which will make it easier for Daryl to sit and indeed, he is willing to seat on it to pee.
All went smoothly on his diaperless project until after Daryl finish his porridge and my mum spotted him trying to gek sai. We quickly bring him to the toilet and let him seat to gek. However, perhaps, his poo is too hard, so he is unable to poo out, thus he started to fuss and refused to seat any longer. So no choice, we carry him down and wear back his pants with diaper.
Then, shortly after he was playing with my mum, he suddenly managed to poo out and my mum saw the hard little poo in his pant and we quickly carry him to the toilet and remove his pant carefully. The pant was soiled but luckily, as his poo is hard and the pant was rather tight fitted, it did not fall out and did not make a mess on the floor, phewz. But being his mummy, I have to use water to wash his pant with my bare hand to wash away the soiled part before we wash it with the rest of his clothing.
Anyway, this little project on diaperless seem successful and I think we can really start to let him go diaperless during the day when we are at home. But still, he will have to wear his diaper when going out until, we are 101% sure he is fully toilet trained.
Nevertheless, we are proud of our little terror little success and we must proudly declared that ALL CREDITS GOES TO HIS NANNY!!!! We can see that our expenses on his diapers are reducing.......and we are more than happy that we can save alot of money since he is partially toilet trained.
