English Meaning - Darling, dearly loved, from the Old english deorling.

Origin - English

Mummy chose the name Daryl for me as she say I am her little darling and I am dearly loved by her..... Also, she hope I will be loved by all too.

The meaning of Sheryl

(French) Darling; (Germanic) man, free man; (Old English) meadow shire; bright meadow

Sheryl is of Germanic, English, and Old English origin and it is used mainly in English.

Sheryl is a variant form of Charlotte (French, German, Dutch, English and Scandinavian) and also an English spelling variant of Cheryl (English and German).

The reason why mummy chose the name Sheryl for me is that she wanted a name with similar meaning as kor kor. Likewise, the reason she chose kor kor's name too!

Creation of the Blog

Mummy finally decide to create a Blog for me. She say this is a little something for me to read when I grow up. Things that she want me to know and she like to remember, she will jot it down here.

As this is created after I turned One Year Old, so she will try to 'dig' from her memory for those things that happened from the day I was born till now.

But one thing I know for sure is that Mummy is IN LOVE with me!

:-)
Daryl

Mummy added me in this blog as well after I 'arrived' on 17th November 2010. This will be the 'diary' where she will updated the growth of kor kor and me.

We both know that in mummy's heart, we are her bao bei and this is a forever love from her unconditionally.

:-)

Mid Autumn Festival 2009

Daryl's 1st lantern which was too big for him.

This is the 2nd lantern Daryl ah gong and ah ma buy, a smaller one after they realise that the 1st one is too big for him. However, now it only have music but no light coz the light wire was tear off after Daryl swing it like a 双节棍.

Still remember last year mid autumn festival (中秋节), Daryl was only about 5 months plus old. I still have to put him on the baby carrier to bring him opposite to Bishan Park which was having mid autumm festival celebration alone, as Shawn was too lazy and uninterested to go over. Well it was not easy carrying him even with him in the carrier coz he was not light at 7kg plus especially after walking some distance and climbling an overhead bridge. To say the truth, basically it is me who are looking at kids taking lanterns and enjoying but not him for he is too young to really understand what was going on.

This year, Shawn and me decide to bring him opposite to Bishan Park on Friday (eve of mid autumm festival) taking along his two lantern from his ah gong and ah ma. We run into our neighbour littel Jack, his cousin and his parent. So we went over together. His cousin was carrying 2 self make lantern, which were rather nice and big. But they do not have candles to light it.

They give us some 烟花棒 to play which Daryl enjoy watching the fire. However, instead of Daryl carrying the lantern, it become Shawn and me carrying as he will let go after taking for awhile. Nevertheless, he did enjoy himself when we brought him to the playground to play. The best he like is swing and he refused to come down when we decided to go home.

Then on the actual day of mid autumn festival where again there are celebration in Bishan Park, it was drizzling, so we did not bring Daryl to 'join' the fun of the celebration, but let him carry the lantern at home where we off the lights.
