English Meaning - Darling, dearly loved, from the Old english deorling.

Origin - English

Mummy chose the name Daryl for me as she say I am her little darling and I am dearly loved by her..... Also, she hope I will be loved by all too.

The meaning of Sheryl

(French) Darling; (Germanic) man, free man; (Old English) meadow shire; bright meadow

Sheryl is of Germanic, English, and Old English origin and it is used mainly in English.

Sheryl is a variant form of Charlotte (French, German, Dutch, English and Scandinavian) and also an English spelling variant of Cheryl (English and German).

The reason why mummy chose the name Sheryl for me is that she wanted a name with similar meaning as kor kor. Likewise, the reason she chose kor kor's name too!

Creation of the Blog

Mummy finally decide to create a Blog for me. She say this is a little something for me to read when I grow up. Things that she want me to know and she like to remember, she will jot it down here.

As this is created after I turned One Year Old, so she will try to 'dig' from her memory for those things that happened from the day I was born till now.

But one thing I know for sure is that Mummy is IN LOVE with me!

:-)
Daryl

Mummy added me in this blog as well after I 'arrived' on 17th November 2010. This will be the 'diary' where she will updated the growth of kor kor and me.

We both know that in mummy's heart, we are her bao bei and this is a forever love from her unconditionally.

A good deed

We are going back to my MIL house for dinner today, so as usual, we will head home first before picking Daryl from the nanny.

As Shawn was held up by work, I walked back home from the bus stop opposite AMK Hub. Half way walking, a little boy who is crying and shouting for daddy, ran passed me. Thinking that maybe he was naughty and the parent were just ahead of him, I did not really bother. But later, I realised, the boy was actually 'lost' and was looking for his daddy when I saw an old man tell the boy to go and wait for his daddy under the void deck as it was drizzling.

I decided to help the little boy. I went over and ask him if he have his daddy or mummy number. But he say he do not know and he say his mummy is now in office working but he do not remember her office number. Then the panic and frighten poor boy ask me "aunite can you help me find my daddy? I cannot go home without my daddy." Then I asked where do he stay and he told me. So I tell him, I will bring him home and hold his hand hoping to comfort him so that he will not cried so hard.

Suddenly, a group of teenage boy ran over and say, that the little boy father is over the other side looking for him. So we walk over the other side to find his daddy. With a teary eyes, the little boy cannot see probably and when I ask if that is his daddy, his cute little reply is : "wait, let me see first." Then after he confirm it his daddy, he ran over and keep saying : "I am sorry, daddy." And his daddy ask him to say thank you to me first.

Why is this inside this blog? Simple reason - I just want my children to know the joy of helping people. I may not have done much for the little boy. But at the very least, I comfort him alittle by helping him and holding his hand. Also, I prevent him from falling into any baddies hands. Lastly, I am a mother, so I know how anxious and worry his parents will be. So keeping the little boy safe and comforting him is the least I can do.

This is the 2nd time I help a lost boy. The last time was when I was still pregnant with Daryl.

My little terror, shall you read this when you grow up, remember that mummy only wish is for you to grow up to be a kind, helpful and useful man, who is alway ready to lend a helping hand within your means as it never hurt to help.
