English Meaning - Darling, dearly loved, from the Old english deorling.

Origin - English

Mummy chose the name Daryl for me as she say I am her little darling and I am dearly loved by her..... Also, she hope I will be loved by all too.

The meaning of Sheryl

(French) Darling; (Germanic) man, free man; (Old English) meadow shire; bright meadow

Sheryl is of Germanic, English, and Old English origin and it is used mainly in English.

Sheryl is a variant form of Charlotte (French, German, Dutch, English and Scandinavian) and also an English spelling variant of Cheryl (English and German).

The reason why mummy chose the name Sheryl for me is that she wanted a name with similar meaning as kor kor. Likewise, the reason she chose kor kor's name too!

Creation of the Blog

Mummy finally decide to create a Blog for me. She say this is a little something for me to read when I grow up. Things that she want me to know and she like to remember, she will jot it down here.

As this is created after I turned One Year Old, so she will try to 'dig' from her memory for those things that happened from the day I was born till now.

But one thing I know for sure is that Mummy is IN LOVE with me!

:-)
Daryl

Mummy added me in this blog as well after I 'arrived' on 17th November 2010. This will be the 'diary' where she will updated the growth of kor kor and me.

We both know that in mummy's heart, we are her bao bei and this is a forever love from her unconditionally.

:-)

Penang Trip - Day 3

Mummy and me learn how to call the Penang telephone (home and mobile) after we call the cab driver successfully in the afternoon. So mummy finally get in touch with her ex colleague who shift back to Penang. So her colleague came with her husband to pick us from our hotel and brought us to another famous night food centre around the vicinity of our hotel.

Well, of course we eat again (that what holiday is about right, shop and eat) and mummy enjoy her short catch up with her friend.

The interior.

The exterior of the shop.

After the nice feast of food, the friend uncle drove us to Penang oldest tau sa piah shop to get some local goodies to bring back home as gifts before we head back to our hotel.

Daryl say :"Oh no, mummy I dun want porridge!"

I order the porride for Daryl, but who know he prefer other food instead.

Penang prawn mee.

The food stall along the street.

Penang Char Kway Teow

The tasty wanton mee which Daryl love to eat.

Well we call the friendly uncle (cab driver) and he brought us to New Lane to eat their local hawker food which is cheap and good. Doesn't the popiah look make you hungry?

We have a good time shopping (meaning we buy more things) in this big mall. Although the lunch in their food court is not so great but it is acceptable. However their freshly make kueh bulu in the food court is very delicious, which is why Daryl keep asking for more, till I have to hide it out of his sight.

The Christmas decoration in the Mall.

As Penang is an island surrounded by sea, you can see the sea almost everywhere.

The exterior (the other side from where we alight) of Queensbay Mall.

We took a cab straight to Penang biggest shopping mall - Queensbay Mall after our last day of hotel breakfast. The cab driver was chatty and friendly, providing us information of where to eat and go etc.

Thru him, we then understand that it was not easy being a cab driver in Penang coz in order to queue outside the hotel or a shopping mall, the driver have to be member. Also, you can only get cab at shopping mall or hotel but can hardly get it along the roads. As he is not a member of Queensbay Mall, he is not allow to pick up customer from there unless the customer call him. Also, he is not allow to wait for us there, so he give us his namecard and tell us to call him later when we are going off and he can drive us to eat some nice local food and also to buy their local goodies at a flat fare (forget how much le).
